Joan has more than 35 years of experience in the tax and accounting industry. Her experience includes the setup of accounting and record-keeping systems for a variety of businesses, extensive work in tax and cash flow planning, expertise in tax strategies to maximize tax benefits and minimize tax costs, the selection of the most advantageous entity structure for a business, and representation for businesses and individuals before the IRS and other tax agencies. She has expanded her expertise to the field of trust and estate tax and accounting.

Her expertise and experience focus on real estate investors, landlords, agents, brokers; professional service businesses including physicians, medical groups, attorneys, engineers, consultants, coaches, and other business service providers; manufacturing and distribution businesses; trust and estate tax compliance and court accounting.

Joan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has served on the board of the Estate Planning and Trust Council of Long Beach.

Joan is a lifelong resident of Long Beach, a Poly High Jackrabbit, and a UCLA Bruin. She and her husband Jerry celebrated their fiftieth anniversary.  They have two children, Brian and Allison.  She is grandmother to Townes Green. Joan is a sailor who has spent more than 50 years on the water both here in southern California and in many foreign ports. She spends her free time traveling, sailing, and enjoying time with family and friends.
